Canyoning at the FORRA del CASCO .
The "Forra del Casco" is a classic canyoning experience in Umbria. Abseiling (go down with ropes) is the name of the game.
The landscape is typical of the Valnerina valley: evocative and mystical. So beautiful and distinctive that it leaves a lasting impression on the memory of a canyoning day, just as much as the route itself.
The canyon winds majestically for several meters into the rocky belly of the mountain before suddenly opening onto a splendid 30-meter waterfall.
The waterfall itself gives its name to this canyoning route.
In fact, the shepherds of this area of Umbria, seeing it from afar, referred to it in the local dialect as "Lu casco dell'acqua" (The waterfall of water).
